5 Things to Understand Before Choosing a Credit Repair Company
What a service can help with, what to ask about a warranty, and what to expect before getting started.
Choosing a credit repair company can be confusing. You may see promises about points, timelines, and results—but still have questions about what the company actually does.
Before deciding, it helps to understand how your reports are reviewed, what support you’ll receive, and how any warranty works.
Here are five things worth looking at.
Start with what’s on your credit reports
A credit score gives you a number. Your credit reports contain the account and payment information behind it.
Reviewing those reports can help you spot information that deserves a closer look, such as an account you don’t recognize, an incorrect balance, or a payment recorded inaccurately.
90 Day Credit Experts reviews reports from Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion as part of its service.

- 1Account nameDo you recognize the creditor? An account you never opened is worth asking about.
- 2BalanceCompare it with your own statements. A balance that’s outdated or wrong can be disputed.
- 3Payment historyEach month shows how a payment was reported. Check that any late marks match what actually happened.
Understand what credit repair can—and cannot—do
Credit repair services can help you identify and dispute inaccurate information on your credit reports. Accurate, current negative information cannot simply be removed because it affects your score.
You can dispute errors yourself at no cost. When considering professional help, ask what work the company will handle and what responsibilities remain with you.
Read the warranty as carefully as the headline
90 Day Credit Experts offers clients a 150-point warranty in 90 days.
Before enrolling, make sure you understand how the points are measured, when the 90-day period begins, what requirements apply, and what happens if the warranty threshold isn’t reached.
How the warranty works
Read these terms before you enroll. Your specialist can walk you through each one.
- How points are counted
- Increases on your Equifax, Experian and TransUnion scores are added together. It is a combined total across all three bureaus, not 150 points on one score.
- When the period begins
- The day you sign your service agreement. If you have no credit score yet, it starts when your score first appears.
- Client requirements
- Send complete, accurate information within 5 days, keep credit monitoring active, avoid new negative items (late payments, collections, higher card balances), and pay the first 3 months of service fees.
- If the threshold isn’t met
- We repeat the dispute process up to three more times at no extra charge. If you still don’t reach 150 points, you may cancel and we waive your remaining service fee.
- Calculation example
- Example only: Equifax +60, Experian +50 and TransUnion +40 = 150 collective points.
The warranty is not a promise that any individual credit score will increase by a particular amount. Results depend on the information in your reports. Read the full warranty terms.
